Knox Street, between Highland Park and Katy Trail
The Knox sits at 4555 Travis Street, in the Knox Street shopping district next to Highland Park. The hotel opens directly onto the Katy Trail, a green corridor of about 5.6 km laid along a 19th-century railway line, where people walk, run and cycle in the shade of the trees. Highland Park Village and SMU are 8 minutes away, Dallas Love Field airport 20 minutes and Dallas Fort Worth 40 minutes.
The hotel will anchor a four-acre project, about 1.6 hectares, led by BDT & MSD Partners with Trammell Crow Company, the owners of Highland Park Village and The Retail Connection. Around it: shops, restaurants, offices, homes and a park linked to the Katy Trail.
140 rooms by Martin Brudnizki, from 40 m²

Martin Brudnizki’s studio, which also designed the interiors of the Grand Mazarin in Paris, wants rooms that feel like a private townhouse: marble bathrooms with double basins, rain showers, floor-to-ceiling windows, a curated minibar, bespoke art and furniture. The Knox King, the entry-level room, measures 40 m²; next come the Knox Double Queen (41 m²) and the Manor King (52 m²) with its sitting area, each with or without a balcony.
The press release of 15 October announces rates from 1,000 dollars. On the official booking engine, on 19 October 2026 we found 1,200 dollars for one night in a Knox King, from 10 to 11 March 2027, for two adults, hotel fees included and taxes extra. The Salon Suite (72 m²) starts at 1,600 dollars, and the Grande Suite (79 m²), with living room, dining room and furnished balcony, at 1,945 dollars. Elsewhere in Texas, compare with the suites at The Post Oak in Houston.
A 195 m² terrace for the Promenade Suite
At the top of the range sit two signature suites. The Promenade Suite opens onto a terrace of about 195 m², with lounges and dining areas, an indoor bar, a kitchen and a table for six. The Manse, the hotel’s largest suite, adds a private gym, a wellness room, a bar, a screening room and a table for ten.
For longer stays, three apartments, Abbott House, Hester House and Hyland House, offer two or three bedrooms, a kitchen and a private terrace, with full hotel service. Suite guests will also be entitled to in-room treatments: a beauty drawer plus skincare and recovery devices, on request.
Four venues, from hidden bar to poolside

The Knox will have four places to eat and drink. The signature restaurant will reinterpret American classics in a dark, hushed setting; next door, an indoor-outdoor salon will serve European-inspired cuisine and champagne. An evening lounge will focus on cocktails in the spirit of a speakeasy, and the garden pool will offer a light menu facing the Dallas skyline. A bespoke concept store completes the picture.
What does the Wellbeing by Auberge spa promise?
The spa will follow the house Wellbeing by Auberge concept, centred on skin health and longevity: regenerative therapies, cutting-edge treatments and a multisensory thermal journey through sculpted baths. It is arranged around the garden pool, with views of the downtown towers.
The Colonnade Room, a ballroom framed in glass
A private entrance leads to the second-floor function rooms. The Colonnade Room, a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, is edged by a terrace and preceded by The Gallery, a reception space adorned with artworks. On the third floor, the Knox Parlour Rooms bring together the Waldon Room lounge, the Margay and Barlow rooms with private terraces, and the Kestrel Room beneath its tented ceiling. Inside the signature restaurant, the Trophy Room, a private room hung with tapestries, will host private dinners.
Auberge Collection, from Dallas to Mayfair
The Knox will be run by Rick Fidel, a Texan, regional vice-president of Auberge Collection and former general manager of Rosewood Miramar Beach. The group, which counts 39 hotels, resorts and residences, will also open the Cambridge House hotel in London in 2027, in Mayfair, following Auberge Safari in Tanzania (nine properties), Collegio alla Querce in Florence and The Woodward in Geneva. In Texas, see also the opening of the Canyon Ranch Austin resort.
