A strategic waterfront location
The Michigan metropolis is preparing to welcome a major hotel address that will mark a new milestone in its urban renaissance. Ideally located on the Detroit River, the JW Marriott Detroit Water Square will combine the requirements of a major business hub with the refinement of a luxury establishment. This major project aims to transform the experience of business and leisure travellers in the heart of the city.
Premium waterfront accommodation
The establishment will offer over 600 contemporary rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the river and the Canadian border. Among these accommodations, 44 refined suites will meet the expectations of a discerning clientele seeking space and exclusivity. The hotel’s centrepiece will be a 195-square-metre presidential suite designed to host executives and heads of state.
First-class event infrastructure
To establish itself as an essential business hub, the hotel will feature over 4,900 square metres of flexible meeting space, including two large ballrooms of 1,580 and 1,200 square metres opening onto outdoor terraces. An enclosed, heated skybridge will directly connect the property to the Huntington Place convention centre. This connection will allow attendees to easily navigate between their meetings and their rooms without experiencing the harsh winter weather.
A comprehensive wellness and dining offering
Relaxation will be ensured by a 1,000-square-metre Spa by JW, featuring nine treatment rooms with water views and a 15-metre indoor pool. On the dining side, four culinary concepts will bring the venue to life, ranging from the premium JW Market café to the fish and steak restaurant Joe Muer Seafood + Chops, alongside contemporary American cuisine at Verena and The Assembly bar. These dining and relaxation spaces will make the hotel a dynamic hub for both visitors and Detroit residents.
