Pride Month: France’s Most Gay-Friendly Luxury Hotels

Long overlooked, the LGBT+ community is now one of the most coveted clienteles in luxury hospitality. Gay and lesbian travellers journey more often, further afield, and spend more than the average, in a global LGBTQ+ tourism market estimated at over 300 billion dollars.

Major groups have understood this well. Marriott and its W brand, Hyatt, and IHG have made inclusion a strategic focus, with dedicated programmes, team training, and Pride campaigns. In 2025, the IGLTA association even launched a ‘Queer-Safe Spaces’ accreditation to audit the genuinely inclusive welcome of establishments. This is a significant issue, as nearly 8 out of 10 LGBTQ+ travellers say they prefer brands that openly support their rights.

Yet, beyond rainbow marketing, certain establishments distinguish themselves with a genuine welcome, all year round. To mark Pride Month, La Revue des Hôtels has selected the French luxury hotels where guests truly feel welcome, from the heart of Le Marais to the Riviera.

A Clientele That Has Redefined Luxury Hospitality

‘Pink money’ is not a myth. High purchasing power, loyalty to committed brands, off-season travel, and powerful word-of-mouth: the LGBT+ clientele ticks all the boxes for an ideal luxury hotel guest. Beyond the figures, this demographic primarily expects discretion, respect for privacy, and staff who show no hesitation, whether a couple requests a double bed or books a suite for a honeymoon. This is where the difference lies between a flag displayed in June and truly inclusive hospitality.

It’s impossible to discuss gay-friendly hospitality in Paris without starting with Le Marais, the capital’s historic LGBT+ quarter with its hundreds of lively venues. In the heart of the Haut-Marais, Le Sinner cultivates a sensual and mysterious atmosphere, envisioned by decorator Tristan Auer for the Evok brand.

Behind its discreet facade, the hotel conceals 43 intimate rooms, a restaurant, and an Ablutio spa inspired by Roman baths, with a swimming pool and hammam hidden behind a studded door. An intimate and liberating interlude, just a few steps from the neighbourhood’s bars and galleries.

  • Address: 116 rue du Temple, 75003 Paris (Le Marais)
  • Rooms: 43 rooms and suites
  • Wellness: Ablutio spa (pool, hammam), restaurant, and bar
