The former headquarters of the Ministry of Armed Forces at 231 Boulevard Saint-Germain will open in 2027 as The Maybourne Saint-Germain. The French State sold the eastern section of the Îlot Saint-Germain in 2019 for €300 million to a Qatari fund. Construction is currently underway behind the hoardings on the boulevard.
