What if the most desirable cruise of 2026 wasn’t a destination, but a state of being? By bringing together two French icons of the art of living, Orient Express and Guerlain transform the world’s largest sailing hotel into a floating sanctuary. Their new collaboration makes well-being a true destination, out at sea, between sky and sea. Here’s everything you need to know about this odyssey and its “Ocean Rebirth” retreat.
The Corinthian, the World’s Largest Sailing Hotel
Built over four years at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France, the Orient Express Corinthian is not just another ocean liner. With its 220 metres in length, three grand sails, and 54 suites ranging from 43 to 225 m², it stands as the world’s largest sailing hotel. On board, architect Maxime d’Angeac designs interiors inspired by the golden age of travel, chef Yannick Alléno orchestrates the dining experience, and there is even a library of 1,500 rare books, a cinema, and a music lounge. The inaugural voyage is anticipated for June 2026.

A 500 m² Guerlain Spa at Sea
This is the beating heart of this alliance. The Guerlain Spa extends 500 m² of treatments at sea, featuring four cabins (including a VIP double suite), a sauna, a relaxation lounge, a barber, a beauty salon, a fitness area, and an open-air swimming lane. The house offers four signature rituals designed for travel: Sérénité des flots, Aqua Odyssée, Soleil Plein Sud, and Éveil de l’océan. A suspended moment where French beauty expertise meets the horizon.

“Ocean Rebirth”: 14 Days of Rejuvenation Between Lisbon and the Caribbean
From 12 to 26 October 2026, the Corinthian will set sail for “Ocean Rebirth”, a fourteen-day wellness retreat connecting Lisbon to Bridgetown, Barbados, with a two-day stopover in Ponta Delgada, Azores. The programme is based on four pillars: nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and sleep. Each guest benefits from a personalised assessment and adjustments throughout the crossing, between small group workshops and guided sessions. The Atlantic crossing thus becomes a suspended time, conducive to regeneration.

Five Experts for a Bespoke Journey
The strength of “Ocean Rebirth” lies in its accompanying experts. Five high-level specialists embark to guide each guest: Amélie Demange, International Director of Aesthetic Creation for Guerlain Spas, for holistic beauty; Arthur Guérin-Boëri, five-time world freediving champion, for breathing and mental preparation; Déborah Passuti, naturopath, for regenerative nutrition; Julie Granger, former ballet dancer, for movement and body balance; and Slav Marinov, six-time world massage champion, for deep recovery.
LongeviSkin and Technology for Longevity
Beyond expert hands, “Ocean Rebirth” deploys a high-tech arsenal. A highlight of the programme, Guerlain’s LongeviSkin device combines seven aesthetic technologies (LED, plasma, radiofrequency) to stimulate the skin. Also included are Technogym assessments, pneumotherapy (pressotherapy), LED masks, Theragun recovery devices, and crystal bowl and sound bath sessions. The science of longevity and the most contemplative rituals resonate with each other, to the rhythm of the waves.
The Art of Wellness, a New Orient Express Signature
This alliance goes beyond a simple cruise, it outlines a new grammar of luxury. “This alliance unites two French icons of elegance and savoir-faire,” summarises Philippe Hetland-Brault, President of Orient Express Sailing Yachts, who speaks of “a sanctuary where beauty, refinement, and discovery converge.” For Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO of Guerlain, the partnership “celebrates shared values: heritage, elegance, and innovation.” The adventure will continue in winter 2026-2027 in the Caribbean, with “Beach Days” at Prickly Pear Cay, Anguilla, and a sensory immersion, “Symphony of the Senses”, in Saint Kitts and Nevis on 9 January 2027.
