- In spring and summer 2026, Radisson, Hyatt, and Marriott are establishing a consecutive presence in Paros, in the Cyclades.
- The Radisson Individuals Pounda Resort (94 rooms) has opened on the west coast; the Parian Chronicle (Destination by Hyatt, 50 rooms) opens on 15 July 2026; the Orosea Paros (Marriott Autograph Collection, 40 suites, €15M) opened in April.
- Existing properties are upgrading: the Summer Senses and its Galazia Hytra restaurant (created by the Michelin-starred Athenian Hytra chef) and the Villas at Parīlio in Naoussa.
- The result: Paros joins the exclusive club of luxury destinations in the Aegean Sea, alongside Mykonos and Santorini, without renouncing its Cycladic charm.
The island of Paros, a jewel of the Cyclades, is in the process of redefining its position on the international luxury tourism map. Since spring, an unprecedented wave of hotel investments, driven by international capital and renowned brands, has transformed the island’s hospitality landscape. This strategic offensive, which began in April and continues throughout the high season, sees major players such as Radisson, Hyatt, and Marriott establishing themselves, turning Paros into a true “Champions League season” for hotels and gastronomy.
The island, traditionally appreciated for its authentic charm and relaxed atmosphere, is now attracting a clientele seeking refinement and exclusive experiences. This evolution is evidenced by a significant increase in passenger traffic, confirming Paros’s growing appeal to both new visitors and regulars. The arrival of these global brands and initiatives by Greek operators mark Paros’s transition to an emerging premium destination in the Mediterranean, capable of rivalling the most established Cycladic islands.

The Island of Paros, a New Home for Global Hospitality Giants
One of the first players to bolster the island’s luxury offering is the Radisson Hotel Group, which has inaugurated a new gem there. Paros, according to Joep Peeters, the group’s Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA, has become “one of the most dynamic island destinations in the Mediterranean.”
The Radisson Individuals Pounda Resort Paros, a New Seaside Address
The Radisson Individuals Pounda Resort Paros has opened its doors on the island’s west coast, just a ten-minute drive from Parikia port. This 94-room seaside complex, operated under the Radisson Individuals brand, focuses on the personalisation and authenticity dear to the group. Its architecture, inspired by the Cycladic style, offers breathtaking sea views and a vast 200 square metre outdoor pool. Angelos Gaviotis, the hotel’s general manager, describes a property designed to reflect the peaceful energy of Paros while ensuring impeccable service. Its opening coincides with a period when the island is consolidating its international appeal, blending authentic Greek charm with a growing demand for stays focused on discovering the Cyclades.
The Parian Chronicle, a Destination by Hyatt Imprint Inspired by History
A few months later, on 15 July 2026, the island will welcome another prestigious brand with the inauguration of the Parian Chronicle, under the Destination by Hyatt banner. Managed by SWOT Hospitality, the property takes its name and concept from the famous Parian Chronicle, an ancient Greek epigraphic text discovered on the island in 1897, offering visitors a deep cultural immersion. Featuring 50 rooms and suites, some with private pools or spacious terraces, it will emphasise cuisine that highlights seasonal produce and Aegean flavours. Spa and wellness treatments, inspired by ancient Greek traditions, complete an offering designed as a starting point for exploring Paros’s history and nature. Panos Konstantinidis, CEO of SWOT Hospitality, highlights that this is the first Destination by Hyatt hotel on the island, resulting from a partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Orosea Paros, Village Elegance Under the Marriott Autograph Collection Banner
Marriott has also strengthened its presence with a new address in the Autograph Collection portfolio. In April 2026, Orosea Paros joined the prestigious collection, representing an investment of €15 million. Designed as a small Parian village, integrating sustainable practices and architecture that blends into the landscape, it is nestled in the Paliopyrgos region, near Naoussa. The property offers 40 elegant suites, ranging from 40 to 50 square metres, all featuring private pools and sea views. Gastronomy holds a special place, with particular attention to wine thanks to the property’s own vineyard. Its owner, Elias Grekis, already active in hospitality in Athens, built this 4,000 square metre project after fourteen years of visiting the island, combining his love for Paros with his passion for wine.

The Summer Senses Luxury Resort, a Cycladic Gem Reimagined with Galazia Hytra
The island is not merely welcoming new addresses: existing establishments are reinventing themselves. Owned by the EKTER group, the Summer Senses Luxury Resort reopened at the beginning of May, on Pounda Marpissa beach, with rooms and suites featuring private terraces and individual pools. Its facilities include three outdoor pools, an Anassa spa, a fitness centre, and a light-filled conference room. The resort particularly stands out with its Galazia Hytra restaurant, born from a collaboration with the Michelin-starred Athenian restaurant “Hytra”. At its helm, Chef Giannis Fyntanis describes his cuisine as “a living dialogue between tradition and modernity,” where each dish evokes the light and essence of the Aegean Sea, with a strong emphasis on local ingredients.
The Villas at Parīlio, the Intimacy of Discreet Luxury in Naoussa
The offering of private luxury accommodation is also growing in scale. In the peaceful setting of Kolymbithres, near Naoussa, The Villas at Parīlio has begun its first full season of operation, enriching the Empiria group’s portfolio. These villas cater to a discerning clientele seeking freedom, absolute discretion, and a more intimate stay. They are distinguished by their serene atmosphere and the integration of water and stone into minimalist Cycladic architecture. Antonis Iliopoulos, founder and CEO of Empiria, notes that Paros maintains last year’s dynamic, albeit with a strong trend towards last-minute bookings.
Our View · Paros, a Destination Undergoing Hotel Transformation
The influx of these investments and the arrival of international-calibre brands confirm Paros’s positioning as a premier luxury destination in the Aegean Sea. The island is undergoing a significant upgrade without losing its soul. The transformation is not just quantitative; it is a genuine qualitative evolution, driven by exceptional gastronomy, wellness experiences inspired by local traditions, revisited Cycladic architecture, and personalised service. With the entry of Hyatt and Marriott and the strengthening of players like Radisson and EKTER, Paros is now in direct competition with Mykonos and Santorini for discerning clientele, while retaining a more discreet charm and a deeper connection to Greek culture. Private villas meet a growing demand for intimacy, while resorts integrate high-level culinary and wellness offerings. Paros is no longer just an “island hopping” stopover; it has become a destination in its own right, where luxury combines with authenticity and sustainability.
